| Spring Routine |
 |
|
Spring is a time of growth, ascendancy and new
potential. The fresh leaves unfurl and dormant seeds
germinate. Spring is a time of increased warmth and
wetness from a thawing of the congealed damp of
winter. Because of the high amount of cold and wet
qualities of winter and the heavier diet that we take,
kapha has also accumulated by this time.

| Morning After Cereal Recipe |
 |
|
This morning potion was originally described in the
Charak Samhita, the classic text of Ayurveda, as a way
of reducing the wages of sin, specifically for
overeating and overdrinking, and to prevent diseases
resulting from the same, such as diabetes, heart
disease, parasites, and hemorrhoids.
It is also an excellent way to enhance agni and
stimulate memory and intellect. It tastes much better
than we imagined when we first read about it!

| Cause of Disease |
 |
|
Disease begins when we forget our true nature as
Spirit. In loosing this awareness, we understand
ourselves only as body and mind and become
wrapped up in the nature of the physical world and all
of its stories and dramas. This results in disturbances
within the mind. These disturbances or “vrittis”
disturbs the mental tranquility and cause challenging
emotions to bubble up onto our awareness. These
emotions upset the biological energies, which control
the body, and the result is physical disease.
Forgetting our true nature as Spirit is the primordial
cause of all disease.
